# Privacy & data

This page summarizes IsonAI's privacy practices in plain language. The binding document is the **[Privacy Policy](https://www.isonai.net/privacy)** — if anything differs, the policy prevails.

## Core principles

- **Your data is not sold** and is not shared with third parties for advertising.
- **Stored on EPITHRE.'s own infrastructure in Indonesia** — not in a third-party cloud.
- **Control stays in your hands**: view, edit, and delete [memory](/en/memory/); delete conversations; delete your account at any time.

## What content is used for

Most processing runs automatically to produce answers. Content may be used in a limited way to keep the service secure and to improve IsonAI's quality and accuracy, with identity minimized and obscured where possible.

## Documents and files you upload

Uploads are accessible only to your account and are used for your conversations. Files produced by [document editing](/en/documents/) are valid for 48 hours and can only be downloaded by the uploader.

## Isolation between users

Conversations, memory, and files are per account. No feature exposes one user's data to another user; share links only show conversations you have explicitly chosen to share.

## Sensitive information boundaries

- IsonAI does not ask for data it doesn't need to answer.
- Sensitive data in memory is not surfaced in unrelated answers — see [Memory](/en/memory/).
- Never share passwords or OTP codes with anyone, including in chat.

## Account deletion and retention

Deleting your account (Settings → Delete account) is permanent: conversations, memory, preferences, and connected-service authorizations are deleted with it, completed within **30 days**; during that period the account is deactivated.

A few **limited exceptions** to the 30-day removal apply, as set out in the canonical policy:

- **Security audit logs** — action metadata (action type, IP address, user agent) may be retained for up to **365 days** for security and forensic purposes. These logs **never contain the contents of your conversations or reports**.
- **Promotional claim records** — retained to prevent abuse of promotional offers.
- **Backups** — deleted data may remain briefly in system backups and leaves backup rotation within **approximately one week**.
